Default How much should I expect to pay for an H22 swap into my 92 Lude??

Hey guys, I just got quoted $1275 to put in a VTEC swap into my 92 Lude. They are doing NOTHING but pulling my old H23 motor out and dropping the VTEC one in. They are not doing ANYTHING else.

This to me sounds WAAAAY too expensive.

What did you guys pay for your swap install???

You do realize that it isnt just h23/h22 swap, its trannies, axles, wiring, ecu, etc. Personally...I'm doing it myself when it comes time. (and I'll be riding my bike)

I think the average, atleast from what i've seen, is around 1k. I only paid 500 for mine but my friend did it for me and had never done it before, he really wanted to do it. Now the 1200 bucks does it include all the parts like new wires, plugs, ect...

is that including the motor and all the parts you need? if it is that seems decent to me. You have to realize that labor is EXPENSIVE that's where they make all their money.

Yeah man, I hear you guys but I really don't have a plcae to do it at. I would LOVE to do it myself.
Anyone in the Maryland area want to help me out?? I will pay some cash. The amount of time it takes is really not an issue since I have another car to use in the meantime.
