ins discount with alarm
i never thought abt bringing my alarm receipts in for ins discount, but since i went to the office to pay the premium, i brought it with me. she asked so many question abt what the alarm is equipped with. she selected the 10% discount cause it seems like that applies to my alarm the best (according to her). and when i asked how much was discounted, she told me, "$10." i don't know whether it is $10 off per month, per quarter, or per year. is that all it's discounted or what?
The only type of alarm systems that i known of to recieve ins discounts are those like low jack or one of these 24hr online security alarm discounts, so it's cool that you reiceve at least 10% discount.
I've always gotten discounts for an alarm. My customers have gotten discounts as well. Most of the time it has to feature passive arming. That is when you shut the door it arms itself after a while. You have to make sure you get the discount when you talk to the insurance company, otherwise they try to ignore it.
As far as how much discount, it used to be enough to pay for the alarm in 2 yrs. Nowadays it seems much less.
