Action clutch !! noise driving me nuts!!!
Anyone using 2md or any other Action, experiencing the metal rubbing/grinding noise at certain positions on the clutch pedal when moving at low speeds or start-stop traffic?
This screetching noise quite loud and is driving me nuts!!
How can I remedy this problem?

You know I've been meaning to ask the same question. I have a 2md also, it makes a pretty loud squeak sometimes when I shift from 1st to 2nd. It seems to only happen when I slip the clutch a little more than normal and also seems to happen only between 1st and 2nd gear. It is annoying, I'm paranoid that something is wrong, hehe. But it just sounds like clutch disk material squeaking on the flywheel during engagement. I don't get any grinding noise though, the clutch is real grabby when starting from first. That will sometimes make the car vibrate but that's about it.

None that I know of.

The noise should go away. My clutchnet stage 2 did that also for about 3 months until it disapeared. It sounds like your doing a small burnout right? So many people turn their heads to look at me thinkin im burning rubber but my tires are not spinning

The pressure plate would work, but the clutch won't.

I have a 1MD unsprung 6-puck. Mine doesn't make any weird noises, except for the chatter when I seriously under-rev it when taking off.

dont worry a bit. that clutch is great, and really smooth too.

Yep, thats what it sounds like. As its so grippy, its difficult to feather it to get a smooth engagement in slow start-stop traffic. I've got a resurfaced ITR flywheel with this clutch. I'm starting to be concern about whether its eating or doing any damage to the flywheel away over time??

Just so I'm not misleading anyone, the clutch does make the squeaky burnout noise every once in a while because of slipping the clutch too much. It *is not* a problem with the clutch, it works perfectly fine and I love it. Don't want anyone taking this thread the wrong way...

It does it most often when moving from standstill when engaging in 1st and 2nd under normal driving (ie. not trying to slip hte clutch or anything). If I gun it then I don't get this noise.

I been running the 2ks for about a month now (1200 miles) and not one problem yet, you will love it just be sure to break it in right.
I was *SO* paranoid about having too heavy a pedal with the 2KS, but now I'm really glad I went for it. Seriously, I got used to the pedal in like 10 minutes. I had it installed with a new CM 8.8lb chromoly f/w, and I love that, too. My tech told me it was so sweet looking from being shipped that he didn't want to install it, and that he was going to hang it on the wall instead.
The clutch is now a lot smoother (almost like stock) when engaging, now that I have about 700 miles of Austin break-in driving done on it.
The only problem I've had, and I've heard about this once before on h/t, is that yesterday in hot (it was about 95F here yesterday) stop 'n go traffic, the engagement point seemed to move further and further off the floor, until the clutch was eventually slipping, even at part-throttle. Does anyone have an explaination for this? I'm not sure how the assembly is configured, but would it be possible for the lightweight f/w, with its lower thermal inertia and likely hotter operating temperatures, to boil the fluid in the slave cylinder? With my limited hands-on Integra experience, that's the only thing I could think of........any feedback would be appreciated!!
Thx,
Nick

Update: My 1MD w/sprung disk does not chatter or make funny noises. It grabs pretty quick and hard though. The guy at the alignment shop stalled my car 4 times while trying to get it onto the racks.
