i just got back from San Francisco, day 1 of the Gumball, it was the greatest experience i have ever had, we got to the hotel around 12:00 noon (SF time) on wednesday, and as soon as we get there, out front sits a new 360 spyder and a new Viper GTS. we got checked in, and trekked down the garage, and as we got of the elevator we bumped into the fabrication god himself, Jessie James, and i do mean bumped into him for real. my friend and i stood there in awe for a secnd, then finally i muttered somethign stupid like "holy crap, it's Jessie James" he totally made fun of me for being such a dork, but i was star struck, i didn't even give a damn i just got made fun off, b/c it was JESSIE JAMES!!!!

as soon as we got into the garage, we heard someone's stereo bumpin', walked around the corner and see a Merciliago (sp) and 2 575 Marinellas, a like 4 360 Modenas, including a few spyders, a 355 spyder, a like 10 911s and 996s RUF, the Axis 360, an F50, a couple of M3s, and on and on and on..... and most of the Italian cars, were Italian, RHD, Italian plates etc

as we are chillin out in the lobby of the most amazing hotel i've personally ever been in, we se a crowd gathering and camera's, Jessie James is out front giving a show, he is driving some VW EuroVan, painted with flames, chrome wheels etc.... i was kinda disappointed b.c i was hoping to see his viper.

we then go back to the gargage and work the croud, meet up with a couple of guys more on our financial level driving an A4, they were pretty cool guys, we enjoyed hangin out with them, hung out with them at the party too, they felt the same way we did around all those other guys..... like we were 9" tall

we then met up with a couple of pretty cool guys that were dring an M5..... an M5 completey tricked out to look like a German Police car, lights and all, those guys were a trip

just after that some car i have never even heard of rolls up, a CC 85 or something, only the 7th one ever built, and there are currently ONLY 7

Todd and Mike finally make it in around 5:50PM (registration stops at 6:00), so i jet out the door, tell them where to go, and drive the car around to the garage. o go park it, and there is the baddest WRX i've ever seen, and i HATE WRXs and even i give this one props, a BAD Vette Stingray, ANOTHER 360, and a Jag driven by Bucky Lasick

Later that night we are invited to the $10,000 a night Penthouse suite for a private party, champagne was free, and everything else was expensive (ex. beer was $7, and a rum and coke was $8), after we hang out for a while, i was stadning there, i turn around and standin like 3ft away was Tony Hawk and Bucky Lasik, then as i leave the room, i brush up against some FINE asian chick, cop a feel on her *** (i was slightly intoxicated so i had no fear) then look at her face, and it is Tila Nyuogen (sp)

we then met some guy from the gumball crew and talked with him for a while, he is a DJ from London, we got to talking, and some FINE women walk over in the area and start dancing, so Todd busts out the left hand behind the head, right hand holding up the right leg white boy dance, and SHE does it too, only she was wearing some 6" stilleto heels (i almost blew my load)

then after chillin at the party some more, i talk to a guy that can't decide if he wants to drive his McCalren F1, or his Lambo

after that i wndered around the hotel a little more, and actually got to talking to the guys from Axis wheels, they were kinda cool, but cocky b/c they were in a 360, i wouldn't be cocky in a 360 though ......

did i mention there was an F50 out front!!!!

i saw some asian kid, and mentioned somehting about his car he was suprised and said "you guys know Hondas", i told him about Todd and Mike, and he goes,"they do know there is a 10G buy in right?" i just told them that it was actually 13 and they had already been accepted and payed months ago.

i perosnally spent arounf $400, airfare, hotel, food, beer etc, my friend that i was with works for Delta Airlines, i get to fly really cheap if i go with him

 

hey, i am from sf, but i am in school in riverside, ca, so i told my dad to go check out the cars today at the fairmont hotel, and i told him about the prelude....anyways, he went there today, and he told me that he talked to todd and mike about their car. they were saying how they couldn't get the motor running, and how they had to take the NA prelude instead, but the turbo was sitting in the trunk. my dad wanted to get a shot of the underhood for some reason, but they said that they hit a sandstorm, and that the underhood was completely dirty. pretty funny, but he said they were pretty cool guys, and he took a few pictures of the car, and the inside, with all the gauges.

Hey Boosted, is there any way you can get in contact with them and see the route they are taking from Vegas to Tucson? A buddy and I here in AZ live close to the freeway they "should" be taking, and would like to possibly go play with some cars on the road, ahahah. Tell Todd 4bidden with the short shifters wants to know. He should remember me. I might also head down to Tucson to see all the cars so maybe PM me his cell number or something if its cool with him.

Actually it's the Koenigsegg CC 8S. $400,000, Mustang Cobra DOHC motor with supercharger putting down 655hp and 533trq. Top speed 240+mph. I think the F50 has some serious competition.
