EP3 to JDM type r 5 lug conversion- questions
I plan on doing a type r conversion but I have a few questions, like will a rsx-r front and rear suspension fit onto the EP3 or do i have to get a EP3 type r suspension or can a regular us spec rsx-s suspension work, I am not that familiar with the suspension of a rsx-s, if it five lug??? Also what is the lug pattern for a 5 lug conversion because I either plan on getting type r white oem jdm wheels or TRUE buddy club p-1's. thanks for any info given, i am going from a S2000 to a ep3-WHAT A LONG STORY
I asked the same question not to long ago and nobody gave me a really good answer. This is just a guess, but what I figure is that the base model RSX front brakes setup should fit on an Ep3. Because the Ep and base RSX have the same motor I figure they should be the same. I am not sure about the rear brakes. Doing this conversion would save a lot of money if it works. Where would you find Civic Type R suspension parts in the states? If you did they would be over priced. Anyway, if you find out anymore about this swap pass the word along.
usdm dc5 or jdm dc5 will fit on usdm ep3 no problem. you can be cheap just change to 5-lug or swap all jdm dc5 suspension w/ brembo calipers. but don't forget that you need to use 5-lug 17" rims. best of all you get brembo & type-r bushings.
