Ok,my gas mileage just CAN'T be right???
I filled up with 93 octane Chevron Supreme ($1.43 here in Atlanta). Reset my mileage reader.
I drove 210 miles...this was a combo of highway and city. I may have hit redline 3 times out
of the 210 miles....i was driving very conservatively (shifting most of the time around 4000 rpms) just to see what kind
of mileage I could get. It had seemed that with my check engine light always being on, due to the 02 sensor not plugged
in, i was getting poor gas mileage and filling up all the time.
Well I went back to the same gas station, used the same pump and filled up again. It stopped at 7.567 gallons.
I divided that by the 210 miles I had traveled giving me an average of 27.75 miles per gallon. This seems way too high
considering a stock ITR gets 25 city and 30 hwy mpg. I have the higher gear, test pipe, header and intake....
granted I did drive a bit conservatively...but still.....

really? oh well i dont fill up in NY anyway, i hit up jersey where its a sweet 1.85..but if it dropped 20 cents then i'd better go shopping...
that sounds perfectly normal. I drive aggressive, rev hard, always stays between 24-27mpg. If your werent ripping it, 27 is right.
I drove to the beach last weekend in my ITR for the first time. Typically around here I'm gettin on her pretty hard. I get around 22/23 MPG local, gettin on it... trip to the beach I got 29MPG. Soo, sounds right to me.

I've been averaging 25 mpg with a couple 30 min drives on the freeway. But I installed the Icebox last week, and the combination of that and 100% city driving dropped me to 19 mpg!!! Ouch.
with header, intake, cc, im getting 32MPG on my R..with a few redlines in there. I JUST got gas ten minutes ago with my gas light on at 320.1 miles.
