It was another great day for a Hondata controlled car yesterday.

Car details:
Del Sol
GSR engine with 8.8:1 pistons and Rods/SiR Jdm tranny
Ferrea valve train with Crower turbo cams
Intank Walbro/AEM rail and Regulator
RC 550s
Drag Gen 3 kit
fuel pressure at 50psi
final boost at 13.8psi running 93 octane gas

This is the final run. We would have gone higher but as you can see the injectors were maxing out. Air fuel was set at 0.83-0.85 lambda. No more power gained from leaning any more.

Interesting...he has a nitrous sprayer for the intercooler and after spraying the car really crumped. The A/F really leaned out for some reason. Anyone ever see this? It happened to him at the track too. Needless to say, the sprayer is going as it is obvious he doesn't need it!

the only reason i think the sprayer could be affecting the af is if it effect the fuel pump voltage or the super cold temp creating more hp there by running it leaner

 

thanks viren, guess thats possible but it chokes out very early in the run. must be the denser air coming through there is making the car run much leaner. The logger didn't show any appreciable change in intake temp though but the air could be much denser I guess? I don't know it babbled me and I had enough carbon monoxide in me to not want to think about it much.

i do my tuning out of a dyno shop in Syracuse NY.
Its a trip from L.I. but I've had someone as far as boston and Ohio come out here.

Both, greddy 720's will fit honda's and rc make's 720's as well, but RC's are damn exspensive, check around i know earl, b18bturbo, and camp1320.com are few of the many that have great prices on injectors.

GruvyTune also burned my ship for me on my Hondata 2B.
That del sol is my friends car, and I myself did not think he was going to make this much power. I guess I was wrong....It's all about the tuning.

My pass after the hondata install 12.57@114 on BFG dragradials. Previous best pass on BFG was 13.2@108.

Oh, forgot to mention.

I have never had any experience with the Crower turbo cams. I must say, I never felt anything like them before. When the high cam engages, the car almost jumps due to the increase in torque and HP. You can feel and hear a big difference with the higher lift cams on those. very impressive. They took a while to tune so the curves were flat but in the end it was worth it because driveability i am sure was enhanced

 

Those are some nice numbers from a crappy DRAG kit!

 

thanks again for tuning my del sol... i would recomend having gruvytune, tune anyones car. it was a great experiance,we had no problems it was well worth the 5 hour drive up to ny..i wasnt expecting such high numbers. the car drives really smoothly through out the entire power band on the street..the car is fast as hell now that the car is properly tuned with a wideband o2 sensor,and being tuned on the street and the dyno, and also having a great tuner.. if u are thinking about having your car tuned this is the guy. his prices are very fair.

 

exactly what turbo were u running on this setup? what trim/ar/etc. also, was it open downpipe or did u have an exhaust on? that seems like an assload of hp for only 14psi on 8.8:1 compression. i'm very impressed man. nice numbers

Me and Anthony are going to run tonight.
We are going to do a highway roll from 3rd to 4th tonight.
I just want to know how much he's going to beat me by.
It would be unfair to start from standing still b/c I have drag radials, and he will
prob just spin.
