AEM CAI soft mount broke! PLS HELP!!
Recently installed AEM intake and i found out last night that the bolt with the rubber mount that holds the intake to the body of the car was torn apart! Which causes the intake pipe to rattle and hit the a/c line. Does anyone have the same problem? Is this covered in their warranty? please help...thanks in advance! This is the bolt with the rubber mount...rubber tore apart...
i dunno, hope they do tho
they might say u didnt screw the rubber in hard enough or somehting and blame it on u....
give them a call and try.....

btw i just checked my black rubber piece on my aem cai and i've noticed that it too has started to break apart.. not completly off but maybe a quarter of the way
time to give aem a call

mine broke off too when I had the aem, largely because it was mounted at a slight angle. hopefully they send you a new one, i ended buying a new one
didn't seem like a defect but rather from wear and tear

they finally returned my call and they will just send me a new rubber mount. I asked them, what about the damaged intake pipe? they said as long as it does not have a hole in it I will be fine...w/c means they will not replace the pipe.

hey dude i just replied to ur post in SHO, well i had a question for all of u who put a AEM CAI on your car, have any of you felt your low end power suffer for putting on the ur AEM CAI? cause i sure did and my friend says he did too.
oh...that was you thanks man! i will try what you suggested. Regarding the lowend power suffer. In my case the low end felt better after I installed the cai...I had a short ram b4 and this one felt better on low end.
My rubber mount broke off too. Mine popped off after I hit a nasty curb...(don't ask).
What I did was just go to Pep Boys and bought some replacement plastic washers for the rubber mount. 2 years later, no problems, no rattles, no snapping off, after several more encounters with road obstacles too.
