Default In search of ultimate hybrid transmission. Info needed:

My trans grinds. I need to rebuild it, but I want to make some improvements. I was thinking Quaiffe LSD, 4.78 fd, and LS 5th gear (I do a lot of interstate driving). Plus new synchros, and bearings.

I have a b16a transmission. Can I use the mainshaft from the b16a with the FD and LS 5th gear? Or do I need a different mainshaft? Has anyone done this?

Thanks for the help!

The ultimate? That would be Quaife's 6-speed sequential gearbox, like what's used on WRS cars. Around $15,000.

Thanks for that relatively off topic response.

I said the ultimate hybrid transmission. I implied Honda by posting the question in Honda-tech I would think...
