General Electric F110-GE-400 afterburning turbofan. 27,000 lbs of thrust.

My rough calculations show an E.T. of 3.49 @ 230 MPH.

The only downside is that I'll be accelerating at nearly 7 G's.

Ultimate CRX:
RWD, 6spd, the M3 Inline 6, 2500lbs, mid-engine, no radio, no sunroof, 11" brakes, a/c, lexan hatch glass, and racing harnesses with rollbar. Oh, keep it exactly how it looks now. No convertible.

I will gladly pay $25K for that.

770cc injectors won't be enough for 30lbs of boost.

What do the drag racers run? I mean think about if they want to get into the 9s they have to run eathier alot of boost or high compression. juice would be prolly just be out of the hole. I updated the list.

Unlike all of you other guys, I'm gonna list the realistic stuff that I actually CAN afford!

Port and Polished head
Custom Turbo Kit from thedropshop, running 6 psi daily driven. (front mount IC of course)

That's about it! I know when enough HP is enough...

you guys have crappy choices.

hahahha

seriously, if you had the option, why would you keep the CRX fwd? It's BEGGING to be RWD.

AWD, no. adds too much weight.

all you guys tossed these wild expensive dreams into building a motor up... but didn't ever think about making the car drive/handle better. think outside of the box!

I see people bidding on those things all the time and its not just $20 or $30 bucks its like $100-$150 people are spending on those!! I was tempted to pick up a bunch from a boating place for around $20 or so a piece then sell them for a hundred...lol

drag racers will either run high comp and be NA or low comp and boost the **** out of their motors. they don't do both.

thats not true...when you only run race gas you can run high compression AND lots of boost...thats the way to make huge power.

check out jgenginedynamics for some specs on race engines

haha....everyone's going to flame me so hard for this but oh well. my *dream* crx(if it were to even be a crx, more like chevette) would first of all be RWD. then we would finish it off with a big block of some sort, don't care what, 396, 454, etc, etc. that would be a bad crx.
