Default replacing valve cover- what should i use to seal it!?

im switiching valve covers on my b18c1 to a jdm red valve cover and i was wondering what i should use to seal it. i heard you dont HAVE to replace the gasket you can re-use the one that is on there, but i heard you should use a sealer. do i use honda-bond? how should i apply it?

Per manual, new gasket, gasket sealer at the 4 points of the arches per cam.
