Technical question on coolant passages behind the intake manifold.
Need a little help guys. Here's the deal, I'm putting a 97 gs-r intake manifold on a 95 gs-r (don't ask why
). The intake manifolds are a little different. There's only one coolant port that comes out of the 97 IM. Where there is 2 coolant ports that comes out of the 95 IM. I need to some how get 2 inlets out of that one port.
I've been trying to find a T or Y fitting that would split the coolant but have came up empty.
There's this part that the coolant goes into. It bolts on to the intake air bypass (IAB) valve body. Located on the bottom of the IM and to the behind left of the TB. I have no idea what that thing is or does. It looks like to be a sensor of somekind. So my question is, what is that thing and is it necessary to even run coolant through it? Or can I just cap off the ends and call it a day?
Oh and I know I can bypass the TB with the coolant.
