Is it possible to paint your plug wires and if so with what type of paint? The wires now are red and I love the look but the replacement ones I got are black. However with the wires being rubber I figure the paint would crack/chip. Anybody done this?

Doh, I jus needed to replace them on my ZC so I went with stock teg ones. I dunno what type are on there now but I jus dig the look but blue on black would look sweet too.

 

Im not sure what its called exactly or who does it for that matter but there is something that someone does...lol...(I know lots of help huh??) But basically its like a rubber coating that they can put over it. Basically its kind of like chrome dipping like a rim or something but they dip it in rubber basically if I find out who and where I will let you know but to be honest it would probably be cheaper just to buy new wires than to have to send them somewhere and then have them do it. Oh and yes paint would just flake off.

dude, don't try to paint your damn plug wires. thats pretty ghey. what the hell does it matter what color your plug wires are? i agree about just getting some NGKs if you don't like the black ones. but damn, man. they carry a spark, why the hell do you care what color they are? are you one of those guys with the colored wire loom everywhere under your hood? or did you paint your stock wire loom? sorry man, not tryin to hate, just want you to see the light

 

You can buy spark plug wire paint at any good auto parts store.

 

Its called I actually want my engine bay to look clean and if I can change the look to how I want it for $3 then so be it, dont hate bc you could care less. Thanks to those who actualyl offer info.
