Im about to run a 17x7.5 wheel on my Integra with a 42mm offset. 205-40-17 is out of the picture because 205 is WAY too thin and would be stretching the sidewall.

Im thinking about running 225-35-17 on my wheel. Before you guys start popping off that it wont fit, be sure to include personal experiences with this size.

Keep in mind 225-35-17 has a SMALLER rolling diameter than a 205-50-15. Yes, SMALLER

Who the heck makes a 225/35/17? I've never seen that size. Most common are 215/45/17 and 225/45/17. Less common are 215/40 and 225/40/17. Depends on wheel well room I guess and amount of sidewall you prefer.

Keep in mind guys, the 225-35-17 will also be stretched across the wheel but not as significant as a 205-40-17.

Does anybody have any problems rubbing with a 205-40-17 on an SSR competition?

 

I have OZ Superleggeras 17x7", not that it really matters though, a 17" is a 17".

I've found that 205/40 won't kill you on the street, but on an occasional wheel-to-wheel lock, I rub. My drop isn't that aggressive either.

Why do 7.5" on an Integra though?
