Best pads and rotors for a GSR?
I'm not sure which pads and rotors I have but they suck. As soon as you hit 90mph or more and step on the brake they start overheating. I was wondering what you guys recommend are good pads and rotors to use when flying down the highway is your daily grind.
Brembo Blanks/Axxis Ultimates (Carbon/Kevlar pad)
damn good and damn affordable setup for the street.
very rotor friendly pad.
$50 a side on the front>Pads and Rotors. Reuse your stock rear disks
and get pads they are $50 for the rear set.

if you bed them in right, they dont warp unless you do something
incredibly wrong and they last 25+K miles. I have 18,500 on my
Ultimates up front and still have 35% left on the pad. I need rotors
tho, I reused my stocks with 36K and cut them. It took 18K to get
warpy... gotta love Andie Lin's break in advice.

slots have their purpose. you are going to hear many conflicting arguments on this topic.
research i have done and personal experience tells me that slotted rotors are better (which is why i opted for them in the end).

What about the metal masters? made by axxis right? Heard they were pretty good i think im on my way 2 getting them! My rotors do the same exact thing but once i break 80mph if i hit the brake 2 hard i get a crazy shake feeling & im not likeing it at all! So i wanted to look into Brembo blanks & metal masters. For rear brake pads don't even worry about getting anything "logic" "high dollar" they are nothing just slap some OEM pads on them majority of the braking is in the front (of course)...
MAN!!! Our these guys ever going to give me 100 % again ive had 94 for like 4 months & all i did was put a pic up with a euro kid flicking people off!

The GT-Sport is meant to be a streetable race pad
has decent cold bite
excellent hot bite
basically you can drive around....then next week drive to the track....go race....and come home and leave the same pads
they squeak a lil at low speeds and low braking pressure....not a big issue
they dust more than stock.....but clean up easily
I'm extremely happy with them....and decided to go with the same compound with my 11" brake upgrade.

the dust cleans off easliy...its non corrosive
but it does dust quite a bit....under normal driving....under race conditions...it dusts A LOT

what about the new carbotech bobcats? i hear that they are a great street pad, better than the axis ultimates. not as good for trakc as the gt-sports from cobalt, but really good for the track. anyone have any experience there? thanks.

its all about operating temperature. on axxis ultimates you rotors will not see over X tremperature... slots come into play at temps over say 1000F. You dont drive a F360 Challenge Car. Slots will only decrease your pad life and they will also wear flat after about 15K of agressive driving. slots
blanks
cheap and they make more contact with the pad
