17's for the Civic.. U like?
they look fine, i dont think 17's are good for a car w/o a bodykit or more "show" than a lip or something...deff not the "JDM" style or trend.

To me if u dont have a kit, 16's or 17's are good for a civic if u lower it right and take out the gap. With a full kit, only 18's or bigger look right, anything smaller the kit overpowers the rims and makes them look small too me......
just my 2 cents

i say if the car is going to be driven with the sole intent of going from point a, to point b, 17's are fine...i dont think they look too big or anything. I currently have 17's on my car but once i start working on my motor some more i'm going to get some 99 Si wheels.

No one said she shouldn't do it, she should definetly do whatever she feels like doing since it's her car, but she asked for opinions, and that's what she's getting

It's a DX, who cares.
p.s. the comment about the Civic not moving with 18's was a joke. they're slow with the stock wheels, imagine some 25+ pound anchors at all 4 corners.

get what you like, your money, your ride, you wouldn't just go up to somebody and hand them some money and say pick me out some wheels, as already stated, get what you want

I agree, Go with what you like! I have 17's on my 1990 Civic Si and I love them. If you do not go over a 1" increase on the overall diameter (Tire and Wheel) of your stock size It will not make a difference in your acceleration. What many people don't realize is you are increasing the rim diameter, But decreasing the tire sidewall height. There are many advantages to larger wheels if you are road racing. If you are drag racing you want a smaller rim with a larger sidewall to help prevent wheel spin. With a larger wheel and a smaller sidewall handling is significantly better, Because it eliminates a lot of "Roll". The more "Contact Patch" that is on the road also determines your handling. Hope this helps! I welcome any flame as long as it is backed up with fact, I don't want to hear, "Yo your stoopid yo!" LMFAO

Don't buy those! Buy mine! They're 17" ADR Reactions with good tires, $500 and they're yours! Here's a pic of them on my car, a milano red 97 coupe:
AT least you can see how they will look on a dropped milano red coupe BEFORE you buy them. I think they look alright, but I want some GSR blades with Azenis so BUY MINE!
Oh, and if you don't plan on dropping it...well don't put on the rims until you do. Mine looked hideous on stock height.
Hope that helped!
