Well, I got my intake tube in and it was time to slap that thing on there. I knew I was going to have to relocate my battery to make it fit. The whole thing wasn't too bad, and when I hit VTEC my car is loud as fawk.

After:
I know its not safe to have a non-gel type battery in the passenger compartment, but it will have to do until I get a battery box and a sealed battery. If anyone has any questions about how to move thiers, I can help. Its really not hard at all to move.
Edit: I can't post pics worth a crap.

not to mention you'll be breathing battery acid and it will vent and before you know it you'll have acid running around your interior. the intake looks nice though. just buy a battery box and vent it outside and secure it well.

Its a AEM CAI off a 99-00 Civic Si. I put it on my 85 CRX Si with a B16A. The battery had to be moved, and I had to cut the very end off the intake tube to make the filter fit on. I also had to cut off the little bracket that hangs off near the bottom of the tube. Once I got the filter on, half of it sat below my fenderwell. I had to make a little splashguard out of sheetmetal to extend my fenderwell to make sure that no water could get in it. That was about it. I'm sure it would be easier on just about any other car.

quick fix....good job....i wouldnt have personally done that myself....but you got to do, what you got to do...you know what i mean....
i moved mine to the back too... i used the stock mounting braket thing. i drilled two holes in the backof the car (right hand side behind the wheel fender and next to the spare tire hole). i used some huge gauge wire that we used for weldin i think its called 3oct or somethin. i havent used a box or anything and the battery doesnt move at all. its mounted in the rear just like it is in the front.

Haven't run in the 1/4 yet. I want to. Right now the car is completely gutted, with an AEM CAI, I'm running the exhaust right off the cat, the car is lowered about an inch with 205-50-15 Azenis all around on GSR wheels. I should run low 14s, possibly high 13s. It's quick.

Looks good I wish that I would have done something with the like 3 1st gens that I had!! Oh and one thing first like everyone else I would get something else to hold down that battery thast a disaster waiting to happen and also I would get yourself a fuse to put by that battery as well. But it looks good!!

Bryant already beat you to it.

I ran mine with 2 oct welding wire, in a battery box but on the driver side where that tire holder bar is. Concering venting, if you have ever look at the cheapy mass produced battery boxes it's almost impossible to vent them because they are not sealed. They usually have 4 very large openings for the wires to run in, so if you did run a nice air tube to the outside it would still be venting to the cabin. I run a non-gel too (Optima red top is on my shopping list though).
