Pr3 ECU needs 2 o2 sensors?
I swapped a gsr motor into a friends 91 crx si. we have a chipped pr3 ecu in it and it runs really really rich and just generally shitty. I dont have any o2 sensors plugged in. I was told that the pr3s require 2 o2 sensors to run properly, 1 in the front of the header and 1 at the collector.
Is there any way to get around this and run without an o2 sensor, or just run with 1 in the collector? because i really dont want to drill a hole and weld a bung in the front of my spoon header.
Thanks.

okay there are like 4 of these threads going on, why make another one,
whoever told u that was wrong, the pr3 requires 2 o2 sensors, on the upper section of the manifold, one reads cylinder 4 and 3 and the other reads 2 and 1
look in the picture, u will see the 2 o2 sensors, one is tucked behind but u can make it out.

I think i found a solution to the problem. I found a guy locally who has a mugen chip for a pr3, he says with the mugen chip i only need 1 o2 sensor in the collector and it will run perfect.
Does anyone know if this is true about the mugen chip?
Thanks.

That's not entirely correct.
I have a PR3 ECU with the Mugen Chip.
It DID throw an O2 sensor code when I drove without the O2 sensor for a day.
About you being able to use 1 O2 sensor, that is correct.
I have 1 O2 sensor (one wire unheated) located near the catalytic converter.
I spliced the wire and sent the signal to both O2 sensor ports on the ECU (C8 and C16). It works fine.

whats up george this is james from titan, darin is working on my car trying to get it running..if you can give us a call tomorrow at work - 407-277-8423, we have some questions we want to run by you and you might be able to help us troubleshoot them the best.

well there is more than one mugen chip, there are probably two-three variants. i have a genuine mugen pr3 and i have no o2's hooked up. a number of the chip copies ive seen do look for it.
