I don't know what the difference is between my B18A and your B18B, but I advanced my timing all the way as far as it can go. I left it there after test driving several settings. It feels the most powerful there. I use 91 octane gas to be safe and I've NEVER heard the engine knock. I keep my 12mm wrench in the glove box as a another safety measure.
