Default Went to the track last night

So, last night me and some friends went up to Great Lakes Dragaway in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Traffic sucked ***, and it took forrrrrrrrrrrever to get there. I somehow managed to get 5 runs in. My best time was 14.723@95mph. I had a couple of questions tho. The 2nd time that i launched it hard, my check engine light came on. Surpisingly, i ran the 14.7 w/ it on. I'm not sure what it could be since I'm at school and dont have access to a 10mm to see what code im throwing till this weekend. I have a Mugen PR3 ecu that disables a bunch of sensors..so im wondering what could've happened.
Also, I was racing on General Ameri 175-65-14 pizza cutters. These are really shitty, non-grippy tires. I think a 3 cylinder geo metro would have traction problems with these bitches. My friends that were watching me run said that i would just sit there for about a second before i started going. How much of a difference would nice, stickier tires make in my ET? I know im faster than 14.7. I believe these tires are holding me back. Oh, and if you're curious, these are the cars i went with and their best times:
My friend Colleen's 95 Integra LS 5 speed w/ I/H/E - 16.2
My friend Beary's 97 Mustang Cobra w/ a bunch of **** - 13.5
My friend Derrek's 02 Mustang GT w/ a bunch of **** - 13.5
This dude w/ a foxbody mustang and a 467 big block or somethin - 12.2
I was very proud of Colleen. I expected HER LS to run mid to high 16s. anyways, give me some feedback...and sorry about the long ramble

Well I will give you a quick ETime of a performance difference in traction to street radials...

On a 1/4 time figure that street tires like you posted a 14.7 at about how much rpm??? Okay of you had BFG drag radials you would have dropped a almost a half a second that would put you at 14.2-14-4 not bad at all. With Full on Slicks ecpect a full second drop atnd 1.8 60 ft times. 13.8-14-2 with you stock clutch of course. Dont quote me on this but this has been tested with repeated times run at the rack with several different types of tires.....

Nice time and trap speed, with better tires you should not have a prob hittin mid or low 14's!

LMFAO! the right lane has no traction! i found that out after i ran my first run there. 60 foot times was ummm baaaaaad. The left lane is stickier...but my tires are just absolute ****. Too bad i missed free racing day..had to pay fucken $25 damn it..hehehe mid to low 14s would be nice...im thinkin i should've lowered the psi in my tires. i left it at 35psi

Dude definetly take out tire press! When i ran my si i would fill the rear tires with 44 lbs of air and ran 19- 21 lbs up front!

free race week got cancled b/c of snow and shitty weather cost 27 bux last year. free race day isnt free tho, you have to pay the spectators admissions which is $11. screw around w/ tire pressure. or get new tires.
