Default 89 civic std to si conversion help...

I have asked a bunch of people and can't get a straight answer. Will I need to switch from std hubs to si hubs if I want to use a 5 spd si tranny??? Some people said that the std axles won't fit a si tranny and si axles won't fit into a std hub. I'm planning on converting my 89 std into a 5 spd mpfi.

you dont need to change hubs unless you use DX/SI axles. You can use STD axles in a DX/SI tranny. I have for over a year with no problems

Thanks a lot for the help! I just want to make sure before I start pulling the tranny out.
