Which model of Yokohama's can we get in the states that say Advan on them instead of Yoko? I know it is stupid but it is just one of those things!

i bought a set of A032R and it has advan on it. This was 3 years ago.

 

there are some cheap yokohama 205-45 that says advan on them. forgot what model they were. but they have sorry speed rating

So you can rock the Advan sticker and be like "jdm"?

 

You can get what comes OEM on the 2003 DSM EVO 8: Advan A046 tires. However the tires still have Yokohama on them along with Advan.



Short of stealing a set off a 2003 EVO 8 you can try a DSM dealer but you need to be sporting 235/45ZR Advans unless another dealer will be selling them in smaller sizes.

Now the big question is WHY do you want Advan stamped tires over Yokohama tires?? If you want JDM tires get some Azenis, they are only made in Japan, hence you have JDM tires to feel special about.

Yeah I think I'd buy the tires first and then get the matching sticker afterwards. Yeah I think that's the better way to do it, yeah.

It doesn't because he never said he was getting the tires just so he can put the sticker on. But if hes buying ADVAN tires which aren't necesarily cheap just to rock the sticker its all for the wrong reason.

Mine say Yokohama on them and they still hug the road.

But WTF does it matter if your tires say Yokohama and Advan on them instead of just Advan alone?? Advan is Yokohama, Yokohama is Advan!! You can't use non DOT stamped tires in the US anyway.

Yeah, my Dunlop Formula FM 901s arent DOT stamped, for those that dont know, Blitz uses those tires on their 4-door drift Skyline. And I dont need a damn DUNLOP sticker to show off. Or type R sticker for the type R wheels.

 

to actually answer the question, yes advan tires are avaliable here, but i wouldnt get the ones that are offered. the only model i know how to get is the AO32R, those only come in 15inch size and have a treadwear of 60. yes.....60. on average these tires last 5 months at the most. they also sound like swampers around 40 mph, and at $180 each tire, i wouldnt buy them. unless you got mad income that you can buy tires that often. stickey as hell though. just go to http://www.tirerack.com and click on competition tire, yokohama, and 15inch tire size.

Advan stickers are for cars with Advan wheels\tires or a member of the official Advan racing team in Japan, not gay JDM ricers.

The same goes for Spoon stickers.

 

Get the ******* tires because they handle better! There is no other reason.
