Break in Brake Pads?
after u install the new pads, reverse slowly, and then go forward, then reverse again and then go forward slowly. A couple times is good enough. Remember to get the pedal pressure up before doing this
. Also for the first 500 miles dont break extremely hard unless its an emergency otherwise you will glaze the pads.

Can you please source your method? I've never heard of reversing and forwarding to break in pads. Every method ive read about specifically states to never come to a complete stop. And you progressively brake harder with increasing speeds to properly heat the pads, not go easy on them.

(1) Brake from 50mph down to 10mph using moderate pedal pressure.
Repeat this process 6 to 8 times in succession.
(2) Cool down the brakes by driving for 10-15 minutes on the highway.
Avoid having to use the brakes during this cool-down period.
(3) Repeat step (1), but use very heavy pedal pressure.
Brakes may fade during this set of braking, so please use caution.
(4) Repeat step (2).
(5) Park the car for 4 to 6 hours after the brakes are cooled down.
Allowing the pads to "rest" overnight is preferred.</TD></TR></TABLE>
This technique is more on the extreme side . Andie at Cobalt Friction has a more doable break-in procedure.

Andie's Procedure was something more like this:
drive around with your new pads/rotors for about 20 min without hitting the
brakes to warm them up.
then do 4-6 mild stops from 30mph to 10 mph
drive without hitting the breaks for 10-20 min to cool/cure
then do 4-6 moderate stops to 50mph to 10mph
drive without hitting the breaks for 10-20 min to cool/cure
no do 6-8 FULL STOPS down to 10mph from 60+mph
drive again for about 20 min to cool/cure dispurse the heat
no water on the breaks y0...
then drive home, park and roll the car a few feet each
minute for about 10 minutes. leave the car parked for
about 2h to fully cool.
I did this with Axxis Ultimates pads on cut stock
GSR blanks that had 36K on them and it took 19K
to warp my rotors including track days and agressive
street driving/late breaking. The rotors are developing
stress cracks... so time to change em.
