jdm B16 block w/ usdm B16 head
will i be able to put a usdm B16 head on a jdm B16 block? The reason i asked is because i bought a jdm B16 bare block from my friend and i'd like to make it usdm spec. Or is this a stupid idea. Your comments and advices are welcome. Thanks.
The heads are swappable. Making your engine USDM spec will result in a loss of power. The usdm B16A pistons have a lower compression ratio. The JDM B16A makes 10 hp more than the USDM B16A.

Well using the C-Speed Racing calculator, the resultant CR would be 10.8:1. That sounds kind of low to me.

I'm running a JBD B16a block w/ a USDM Del Sol head and OS CTR pistons. 10.85:1 CR w/ OEM head gasket. You need not find a JDM head.
