A friend of mine runs a y8 head on a y7 bottom end with a JRSC and hit 13.5 at the track last week. He also has the zex cam and a hondata. Set it all up including the car for less than 4k bucks. Pretty damn good bang for the buck if you ask me. Its great watching the faces of DOHC guys when he kicks there ***.

cam , cam gear, springs and retainers, Y8 intake manifold , LS throttle body, and then get it tuned at a dyno

what?! what!? i cant believe you actually wrot that statement. just fuel and timing(i said that really sarcasticly) fuel and timing are the life blood of a properly tuned engine. if you dont have proper fuel and timing then dont bother with any other crap, cams, intakes, anything. its worthless if its not tuned. so save the cash and go obd1 p28 and then build. you can probably get the whole ecu and harness for like 150 thats nothin. well in comparison to a 300$ cam that will probably not make the proper valve clearances for the mini me.

well if u go obd 1 u would need the p28 and harness and then the intake manifold and new injectors and a dizzy as what i have been told by a few people just adding all that up comes up to a lot more then 150 bucks concidering the harness people have been selling for at least 100
