I got some ls injectors and TB from a friend of mine and I was just wondering if both of them would work in my car. I tried the injectors yesterday and I think they need a good cleaning. The car would barely idle so I just put my old ones back in. It wouldn't even start at first. They came from a junkyard motor. I didn't have time to try the throttle body. I saw a thread a couple of weeks ago stating that any b-series TB would fit on the d16y8. Is this true? And if so can I just bolt it up without any modifications, because it looked slightly different. Also...Will the TB help any? Does anyone know the size difference between the two? Oh both are OBDII. The d-series throttle bodies are 56mm at the inlet, and 54mm tapered into the intake manifold. The b series are 60mm, then taper to 58mm. You'll need to port out the intake to the manifold to be able to take advantage of the larger diameter opening. If you dont do this, the throttle body upgrade is useless.

 

So it will fit then, and the injectors should work....

The injectors has nothing to do w/ the TB. It will work but like he said above, you have to port match the intake manifold for it to be of any use.

 

The injectors should work without any problems.
