H22 Distributor Issues...
Okay, I've looked on pretty much every Honda forum to figure out this external-to-internal coil conversion and basically what everyone is saying is to splice the yellow wire from the external coil connector/plug onto the black/yellow plug that's connected to the internal coil. Everyone says to leave the other wires alone. Maybe it's a matter of semantics or something but I don't understand what's wrong. I did exactly that and I still get no spark at all. The car just cranks and cranks but won't fire, and there is fuel because I can hear the pump engage when I turn the key to ready. Is there something I am doing wrong or could either my distributor/ignitor/igniton coil be broken? Any info would help cuz I have to get this car running. I've seen every single faq on the net, searched every forum over and over again but to no avail.
I think this might be the same as 2point6's

Yeah I read the article and still don't really understand because I am going from an external coil F22 to an internal coil H22. I'm still confused....
And there aren't any benefits that I know of for an internal coil, I just want to get the damn thing running cuz it already came with an internal coil on the H22 as it is and I don't wanna confuse myself anymore going to an external coil.

The write up I posted is just the conversion you are looking for. It was an f22 external to h22a internal. If you don't get it, I don't know what to say other than send it to me and I will make the conversion for you. It really isn't that hard. go back and read the steps again.
the reason that internal coil is better than external coil (only in this case), is because, and tell me if i'm wrong, the h22 you put in the motor came with an internal coil dist., and the f22 you took out is wired for an external coil. the internal coil is better in this case because it was free, and an external coil dist would be extra money, since it didnt come attached to the motor. anyway, i just had this problem. that yellow wire on the two wire harness that plugged into the f22 dist. gets cut, and run to the the power wire on the h22 dist. i cant remember what color that one is, but it is the thicker of the two. the other wire is the tach signal. good luck, i was really frustrated when i had to deal w/ that ****.
So the yellow wire was the only wire u had to splice? I already did that and I still get nothing but cranking, maybe my distributor is bad....
You don't remember any other wires?
