My Exedy Organic died at the >EXPO< *bigass pics*
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
On Sunday morning during the first instructors rungroup at the Expo I was in the middle my best laps so far that weekend (1:09:02) when my DC short shifter broke (for the 3rd time) and the **** fell off in my hand, and immediately tumbled to the floor and lodged underneath the gas pedal. So I pull into the pits and hand my **** to Brian, who wanted to polish it.
Well as it turns out it, finally failed because my clutch broke. The rest of the weekend I limped around on the track without a fully disengaging clutch, basically being slow, skipping shifts, taking extra time to match revs for clutchless shifts, and saving some syncro.
Here are the pics of the busted disc. The clutch has been on the car for 15-20k miles and it's been beautiful until now. Itwas purchased from ***** and I am a shitty installer.
Now for this weekend I have a barely used OEM clutch from a JDM ITR swap.
This will be temporary so it doesn't matter all that much I guess, but should I use the Exedy PP and the OEM disc or run both OEM pieces together???
You can see a piece of the hub broke and a spring popped out of place.

I'm expecting mine to fall apart at any given moment after i ragged on the already slipping crappy exedy organic in my car. Looks like yours did something similar to trey's. Don't bother calling *****, you already know what he'll tell you.
I would run both OEM pieces together. Get that exedy POS out of there, IMO.
Once I can afford the new clutch, I'll be pre-emptively pulling mine.

My choices for clutches are becoming far narrower these days. I'm currently on an Action clutch with a 6 puck. It's awesome. The engagement takes a little getting used to, but I'm extremely happy with it, plus it's a lot cheaper than an equivalent ACT.

What disc material are you using? Kevlar or that other stuff?
I'll be getting an Action clutch when my stock one goes...

I'm running the 6 puck metallic with the Miba pads. Engagement is butter smooth.
FYI - I also think Clutchmasters stage 1/2 are craptacular. Mine busted rivets last year. Finished the season on it though.

Ed, properly installed and adjusted these clutches are bulletproof. You obviously did install it incorrectly. If you need a PDF on how to properly adjust an Exedy clutch, give CocksImports a call. Mike will hook you up free of charge!
