Just got some new stuff in
Well I got a few new things for the 99 GSR. I'm always happy when I do mods...
ITR rear sway
Skunk 2
And shouldn't I expect a little better quality than this...
That is right out of the sealed packaging.
I was a little mad that the $190 kit didn't included the allen wrench for adjusting, or instructions for install.
I am hoping to install the kit thursday, along w/ adding 2 washers to the rear to fix camber, and get an alignment friday. While getting the alignment, is the kit adjustable w/ the wheels on? I guess when you lift the car from teh bottem(which I know you have to do in an alignment) you could do it then, am I right? Also, should I tell then guys to put on loctite to teh bolts for adjustment?
Finally, my next plans for the GSR are OEM sides. I have the oem rear peices at the house, just waiting for the sides to install
Crappy shot through a window...
Sorry mods for adding pics to this thread, I thought they would help out all my questions

Yes I'm sure the kit is new. It came directly from NOPI in a sealed package, who just ordered from skunk2. I guess it doesn't really matter, when will anyoen see the actual kit after it's on teh car??
Thanks, you install instructions seem a little more complicated than I thought it would be. Seems like you did some extra steps, but whatever. I'll get it done somehow...

thats tru... nopi has always done good by me so they get a
. And for that matter.. skunk2 has some good customer service as well. Make sure to get that alignment done... oh and its easier to try n have it set before you install the piece... the less adjustment you have to do later the easier it will probably be for ya.

Yea i'm gonna try to set it to where you said to set it. "A little past the middle, but towards teh outside more." Not the exact quote but I get the idea. I think i'm gonna go ahead and put 2 washers on each of the rear wheels to shim it out. It seems like a pain in the *** to do the alignment w/ the kit because you have to lift the front of the car every time you need to make a change to teh kit, and im sure that is pretty tricky w/ the wheels on
. I'm not sure if I'm just gonna do the alignment myself at school or have a shop do it. I need to call around and see if anyone has done it w/ a kit before...

well look around and maybe there's a shop out there that has experience with lowered cars... i was lucky with mine and they guy seemed to kno wat he was doing and i'm happy with the results. bout 4k miles after.. i'm showing no abnormal tire wear.
Yea man I love the ITR rear sway bar. Best mod for $100 I believe. I think i'm gonna try to install the camber kit tomorrow since I have school off. Hopefully it goes alright.
hint on the new control arms. change the allen bolts to 6x1.0x20 bolts with 10mm heads. this way when you tighten them you won't strip them like you would an allen bolt.........
