i am planning on sending my head to get ported and polished in the near future, i was wonderin what kind of gains i would be looking at, how much it would cost, and a good place to send it (i live in MD) thanks any info is helpful.

regardless of engine you can expect anything from...

Oh my god to wtf.

It all depends on the place and how well the know your head and how down they have doing it.

You can spend 1000 bucks and get back a seriously damaged head or you could do it yourself in your garage and get 15 hp (on a built motor obviously). basically it can go a million different ways... it's all about going somewhere that has done it on your head a lot and gets good results...

As far as places go... I'm not too familiar but I know endyne offers porting services and I believe they do GOOD work but do a lot of research first.

what mods do you have the your p&p'ing now.

if not turbo or big na build I wouldn't do it... P&P is a dangerous mod to go into.. like I said I've heard TONS of NIGHTMARE stories of dudes sending out there head thinking they could get by w/o a car for a while... MONTHS AND MONTHS later they get back a head that's all but ruined... then you have the fun of trying to:
A. get your money back
B. get money for a new head
C. finding a new head.

Frankly even if you are turbo or NA built2hilt... I still don't think I would port and polish... maybe lightly but I'd be SURE to go to THE MOST REPUTABLE place in the country regardless of wait time shipping cost or whatever...

Don't let me scare you off though tons of people get it done w/ no problems..
