I hope someone can help. I was driving the other day and all of a sudden my cd player just stopped working. No matter what cd I put in it new, old, cd-r, etc it pops up PE0 error. I looked in the manual but it doesnt say how to fix it. Does anyone knoew how to fix it? Oh yeah 2000 gsr stock radio and just the cd player doesnt work the radio(AM/FM) is perfect.

Ok I just bought a Maxwell lense cleaner and it didnt work because as soon as i put the cleaning cd it would just show the error message. Has anyone had this problem before what is the deal. How the heck do i fix this. I rather not buy another radio because thats money that i can use for something else.

 

I think you will find that replacing the radio is easier and cheaper overall. If some thing is seriously wrong with the laser (which is what it sounds like) it will cost way more to try to fix it rather than buy a cheap headunit as a replacement.

Also, there is no way you will be able to repair or replace the optical block unless you are an experienced electronics technician. Sorry.

My friends S2000 stock stereo does that too. AM\FM works fine, CD keeps giving that error. After it gets warm you sometimes can eventually get it to play by keep ejecting the CD and putting it back in and praying for it to work.

 

Does anyone know the warranty on this piece of crap?
