How much does the actual motor itself cost brand new from the factory and how much is installation? I may be able to have it put in here in town.

Brand new? A LOT. Get a used one, refresh the motor...

motor and trans, ECU, axles, etc.. I can get for around $3500? $3700? Don't know about these other guys. My mechanic has a swap that he can get his hands on.

if you see him on here his SN is obd1canobie... his name is Don.

Where's your mechanic at ? I'm in SWFL.

All the shops in my town are iffy.. they act like they know wasup.. but then I hear horror stories from other people.
I need a damn lift and air compressor in my garage !

I found a H22A w/ 30,000 or so miles on it with everything you need for a swap for $2100 (mail order).

I wonder what it would cost to build the block and head up...
**block brace, pistons, rods, bolts, springs, retainers, valve job, extrude hone, port & polish, and complete balance. **
hmmm
.. then add T3/T4 hybrid w/ intercooler, blow off valve, timer, cams, gears, guages and dyno tune baby..
Stomp some B18C hatchbacks !

Obviously? Why is that obvious? :D

Here is where to start http://www.importautosalvage.com find a motor. Once you find a motor, then we can talk install. Every year car/motor combo is going to be slightly different on install.
