Default Turboing my ls

Do you need custom parts or will dsm parts bolt up like on the accord f22a?

Well there are a lot of turbo kits for the ls integra. Drag makes one, i think greddy now has one, multiple other ones do too. I guess thats what you are asking. Try the forced induction forum for more info.

There are so many "parts" to a turbo(or atleast a good turbo system) that you need to define what you're talking about.

I dont wanna do a kit, but when i say parts, i mean setup as a whole. When i was poking around with the idea of turboing my 90 accord i was told by many that the dsm manifold would be a bolt on after a few redrilled holes, and i could pretty much use all the turbo parts from a dsm for my accord. Is it the same for the teg or a bit harder?

Theres alot more to a turbo then just the turbo itself and the exhaust manifold. Custom intake piping isnt cheap either. Fuel management, intercooler, reprogrammed ECU, BOV, etc. All of these things are the key to a good turbo system and if you dont have them, then you will probably blow your motor.

one can get all the parts for a turbo system for very little money, hell theres even a guy selling brand new greddy kits for $1800 on ebay...howeverafter ive really been looking at everything the real big costs with boosting is the fact that you have to have excellent tuning to run reliably for any length of time and that is where the big money comes into play...look to spend atleast $4k between parts and labor (if youre not doing it yourself) right up front keeping in mind that you will also need to build up the block to handle the boost with atleast forged rods and pistons

Im in the same boat you are dude. I had a 00 FBP ITR that was stolen and raped..and when i mean raped they took everything. After gettin th emoney back from the insurance i decided not to dive back into another car payment and bought a beautiful white 94 ls for like k. Only like 8k miles and in perfect condition. I guess i was lucky because my buddy who had a turbo ls setup on his 9 sol dme his mani, t4 turbo flexpipe/downpipe, pretty much everything but the intercooler, piping and bov for like 400$. So im finishing the kit myself. Now i could have spent alot more money on a kit, btu then again instead of the turbo sitting in my house it would have been on my car already. If you can wait and have some patience built a good kit thats made for you piece by piece, if not....drags the way to go man. Btter turbo and intercooler than the greddy. Sorry it was long man, this was my chance to vent peace

you could even get a cheap CAI off ebay for like $35 and use that as a large portion of your charge piping
