Removing factory stereo
There are usually a couple of screws towards the back of the radio. (10mm I think) If you're able to contort yourself, you should be able to get the radio without removing the ashtray, center console, etc.
Its not that hard to do the "hardier way". Just take out the rear console(two screws behind the front seats on the side of the console and the two under the pop cap under the E brake). Then pull the ashtray out(push down metal tab and pull), remove screws behind ashtray(3 i think, might be 2 though), unhook ashtray plug, remove 2 screws holding cup holder in, remove two screws on the mid console(down toward the floorboard), and pull it out. Next remove the screws on the back of the radio and roll with it. If you know what you're doing it shouldnt take long at all.

I dont know about your OEM decks but mine when it was bone stock came out with 2 screws.
In the back of the radio there are 2 silver screws going into the cage. remove those and push it out.
I didnt have to take apart the ashtray or any of the plastic stuff.
Those 2 screws back there are a bITCH

If you are talking about the ones on the top of the deck or somewhere like that. You need an angle nut driver to remove them. Or a phillips screw driver with a 90 degree bent head.
It's pretty good anti-theft how acura put that in there. If the theif wanted to gank your OEM radio (god forbid why), they'd ruin almost all of the center console removing it by ripping it out.

when i took mine out of the DA and a friends DC...two screws in the back...i suggest a open-end wrench and once those are out... oh and lay on your back in the pass. side footwell. and then grab the unit from the tape deck and grip the tray...it'll pull right out. not sure why you need to take dash panels to get to the radio.
yup.. the reason i couldn't get it out was because of the ashtray screws... the threads were stripped.
It came out without any problems other then that. Thanks for all the help, and info
