My car is making a sqeeking noise.
I have a 96 Accord EX. The front driver side wheel is making a "sqeeking" noise everytime I turn left and then it stops making the noise when I strighten out the wheel. If I drive stright or make a right hand turn there is no "sqeeking" noise to be heard. Can you experts help me out. What is the cause of this mysterious "sqeeking" noise? TIA
it could also be a blown strut my cr-x had the same problem. one way i know of how to tell is to take the wheel off and wipe the strut clean, put the wheel back on push up and down on the left finder take the wheel back off a see if there is any fluid on the strut mainely were the seals are. this method may sound ghetto but it works 98% of the time i hope i could help.

It could even be worn brakes. While you're turning left, try the brakes. If the sound changes then its brakes. If it doesn't change then look at the other stuff...
What level should my power steering fluid be at. There are two level on the power steering. Lower Level and Higher Level. Should the power steering fluid be above Higher Level?
Should be between the two. It gets higher when its hotter, so if you check it in the morning before driving, it should be above the lower mark. The only problem if it's too high, is the risk of overflowing when its hot.
Thanks for the info. I thinks it's the brakes now. It's starting to get sqeekier everytime I step on the breaks. Should the brake pads be low even though I just changed them last year?

it all depends on how you drive. if you ride your brakes a lot, you may need new ones. dont kno if you have an auto, but a lot of ppl that drive autos drive with two feet, meaning one foot for brake, one for gas, and will often give gas and brake at the same time, thus, riding their brakes.
