Default Carbon Fiber Hood???

I was looking to get a carbon fiber hood for my Integra and was wondering if you would have to get hood pins or not? Is VIS hoods the best ones out there? Thanks for your suggestions. How much do they run?

with some hood you don't NEED hoodpins but a lot of people recommend them because of the light weight and strong winds at highway speeds some people have had their hoods fly open. VIS is a really nice hood, but there are lighter ones. do a search as people have compared the options in the past

IMHO, with the hood and the pins the rice is rampant. Honestly, you could probably save close to that much weight by taking out your spare and throwing in a can of fixaflat. Once again, just my opinion. And yes, Ive heard VIS makes the nicest ones. As far as the OEM one? I dont know any car company who puts those on its cars.

well the locking ones arent really pins that stick out and look homo they're hood locks, they dont look that bad and they lokc the hood, can you hook up the original hood release and locking switch after you get a GF hood?

I would strongly recommend them. It is only a matter of time.

I didnt know that. I thought you meant the gay ones that actually came out the top of the hood. Yeah, then I would suggest them, since they are very light.
