my dad has a 95 DX automatic and his tranny works well in drive but it just stoped going into reverse. He looked around to try to fix it and he got prices like 700$ for a rebuilt tranny i was like nooooo dad those guys are trying to Jip you. What do you guys recomend for my dad? He still wants a automatic tranny though.

 

I would look around for a place that has done an Auto to manual swap in a car...maybe you could get a used tranny with low miles for a cheap price..

Change the fluid.

 

i have an ex auto tranny sitting in my garage if you are interested its my buddies so i would have to talk to him but i know he dont need it.
