Default Accord/Motegi Wheels

I have a 2001 Honda EX coupe 2-dr 4-cyln. and am wanting to put 17 inch Motegi MR3's on it. My question is whether or not I can put them on and have them look right? I don't want to lower or do any mods to my car but put those 17's on it. Can I pull this off and have the car look normal?

u will have wheel gap and it will look higher than it does now even tho its the same height. if you want it to look the best, u gotta lower it.

Lower

Eibach Pro Kit - nice ride, nice performance, lower but not too low.

My big concern about lowering my car is I will get that negative camber look in my tires like you see a lot of cars have on the road with lowered cars. Also the concern of more tire ware and a stiff, bouncy, "low rider" ride. More tire ware equals more money and more trips to the tire shop. Don't want that. Just want a eye catching ride with sweet wheels and a great smooth ride. Any suggestions to lift my spirits on this?

I have a Pro Kit on my 5th gen. The ride is great, the drop looks good (not to low). As for negative camber, there isn't really that much. You can see it slightly but it doesn't seem to make the tires wear any faster or unevenly.

I've got pro-kits and koni adjustables on my 99 and the ride is great. stiffer than stock but not as stiff as my friends 98 Cobra or most SUVs. camber is still within spec without a camber kit. and handling is improved as well

i have uneven wear with pro-kits and tokicos. i did the bolt/washer trick to the rear and live with -1.3 camber in the front. every car is different, only way to know is get an alignment which should get done anyways to atleast correct caster and toe.

How much uneven wear do you get? I have Tokico with my Pro Kits and the uneven wear is very little, basically nothing.

Like the others said, with pro-kits, camber isn't an issue. I've got them on my 97, and when I got an allignment they were able to set the camber to zero all the way around.

How good are the Tein's compared to all others? They look better for sure. How about performance?

ok, when i started modding my cars 1.5yrs ago i thought the same....just put rims and it will come through....and i still do think so Neway, my suggestion is to get tein coilovers and get 16in wheels or lighter 17in wheels. the heavier the wheel the less hp the teins are one of the best suspension around for the price. u could get them around 800-1000 the less expensive ones to 1500-1800 for the high performance ones. drop your car about 1in to 1.5in...dont drop it too low or your ride wont get the best performance.....i got this from riding magizines and furoms.....ppl could correct me if im wrong.

tein's are very expensive. it really depends on what you intend to do with the vehicle. my '01 accord was never meant to be a "performance" vehicle. i had neuspeed sport lowering + tokico's (no camber kit), with 18's, and I was fine, whether going through the twisties, or just cruising.
bottom line...if you're going +2, do yourself and the car a favor and lower the car approrpriately..otherwise, your car is going to look like an offroad 4x4.
