Brake Rotors???
Hey guys im getting ready to buy some slotted rotors do I need to buy new brake pads or can I use the pads I have right now. The pads are not even a year old.
why spend the extra money on slotted rotors? There won't be any improvement over regular rotors like brembo blanks. Anyways, no, you do not have to change the pads if you change the rotors.
if you're trying to get better stopping power with slotted rotors, i'd suggest getting some brembo blanks and some performance brake pads. if you're going for the bling factor the slotted rotors are cool, but performance wise, better pads are the way to go

Yep, suggesting brembo blanks. I just put a set of brembo blanks on after my powerslots warped. The powerslots were fine, but they were $150/pr and blanks are only $50/pr. The blanks stop every bit as well as the slotted rotors did.
As for the bling factor, slotted rotors end up every bit as ugly as regular rotors and you can't tell that they are slotted from more than 15ft away.

That has been my approach as well, i have had zero problems. If I were to shell out the extra money for some brembos, I would definitely get the cadmium coated anti-rusting variety. Otherwise, for just blank rotors Autozone works for me.

http://www.collettimotorsports.com/ offers some of the best prices in terms of blank Brembos
I gots the powerstop crossdrilled rotors and stock pads... it's night and day over stock.. the cross drilled grip retarded especially with the soft stock pads... it chews right into them instead of vice versus.
for money saving DEFINATLY go with brembo blanks though...

Brembo blanks, Axxis Ultimates, and ATE SuperBlue fluid. I have it and have no complaints. Only makes a very little bit of noise on the street and only produces a lot of dust on the street. I did Mid-Ohio and only had brake fade once, and that was after braking from 110 down to about 60 and 5 or 6 laps.

I'm happy with brembo blanks, AEM pads and ATE Type 200 (same as superblue, just different color). However I'm probably going to try a different pad next time. Been looking at either Porterfield R4S, Carbotech Bobcats, or Hawk pads.

Good setup. I love Nissin... They make honda's pads...
I still want to test out some project Mu pads - heard great things about them!
