I was wondering if I could fit a DIN sized equalizer under my stock deck on my 2001 Integra GSR. There's that extra compartment under the stock radio and it looks like it can take a DIN sized EQ (Kenwood KGC-9044)

Anyone has ever done this? or do I have to do a little bit of grinding on my dash tomake it fit?

yes it will fit.. you can even get a kit from your local circuit city that will make it easier

 

yeah im trying to fit a EQ under it also...but i don't think its gonna fit....and what does the headunit and EQ bolt on to..to keep it in there. Do i have to take the bottom portion of the dash off?

 

There's a brace that goes across in the back that the bottom rear end of the radio gets bolted to. If you read the Helms manual it will tell you to take pretty much the whole center console out just to get the radio out. If you lay down on the passenger side floor and look up under the dash, you will see the screws (2 I believe) take them out and the radio should pull right out.

 

well my after market MP3 player was stollen not too long ago so i am trying to put the new one my cuz gave me in....hmm i will have to look.

 

do you know the part number of a dash kit that can take another DIN under my radio? is it made by metra?
