you would under steer less witht the front removed. I would put a teg LS sway bar if you just want to tigeten up the ride. But it can get tail happy when trail braking.
This is how it is. Its not hearsay or whatever
bullshit that peeps think they know. I always
figured that the ex/si came with a 21mm
swaybar. I have a cx and it dint come with anything
so I never knew. I just took one off of an ex this
weekend and it is extremely small. I didn't measure
but I would guess around a 19mm. I would figure that
it would be the same for the ex and the si. I have 21mm
from an eg6. The cool thing is that you can use your stock
ex/si lower control arms if you don't want to buy new ones.
If im not mistaken this would be the biggest OEM front
swaybar that a 5th gen civic can have with stock control
arms.
•THE BREAK DOWN (front)•
•ex/si=19mm
•eg6=21mm
•jdm gsr=23mm
Those are the front sways that I have personally had
in my possesion off the car so that I could compare them.
I am not aware of any 5th gen civic that came with a
rear swaybar, but if there was I doubt it would be bigger
than a 14mm. If anyone would like to purchase a front swaybar
or the lower control arms I still have: 21mm, 23mm. If you know
anything extra that I didn't post then please fill me in.

if you want aftermaret get a Progress. I have one, think its 21mm (same thickness as type r) and it is simply awesome. My car sticks like its on tracks.

I just like the way that it feels better. Its more loose than the
24mm obviously. It dosent seem as stable. So I have had
no front sway and a 21 then a 24 and now back to the 21.
I also have a neuspeed front tower bar, camber kit, tockico
blues, skunk2 coilovers, and this tie bar thing from a jdm gsr
that goes on each side of the subframe. The subframes like
a U kinda and it attatches to both ends of it.

The R is a 22mm in the rear.....almost posative on that one.
Are you sure?

My 92 EX sedan has a 13mm rear swaybar (confirmed with an open end wrench
). According to websites that show civic specs, 92-95 EX sedans were the only ones that came with the 13mm swaybar.

Yup, it was my understanding that the only 5th gen Civic that came with any rear sway bar is the EX sedan, which is a 13mm bar.
All EX's and Si's came with a front sway bar, don't know how big (I think either 19 or 21mm, but don't quote me).
The 14mm rear sway bar from an LS Integra bolts up to a Civic, but you need the rear LCA's from an Integra or an EX sedan.
The Integra rear sway bar requires the Beaks mounting kit.
Hope this helps.

It was a 19mm. I am posative on that. You can quote me.
The integra rear sway does not require the beaks kit but its
recomemded to reduce the chance of damaging your frame.

a little ot but...
I had a sentra which came with NO sway bars.. I got the susp. tech. ones and it didn't make that much of a difference over the improvements gained by the eibach's that were in it.... and these were BIG. not huge but WAY larger than even the sentra ser bars....
I since got a civic ex with stock front and no rear.... I got the ES hyperflex full kit and only did the lower control arm bushings and it made WAYYYYYY more of a difference than BOTH SusTech bars...
And like was stated earlier... don't do a front sway bar if you already have understeer problems they'll only get worse...
