Cany anyone confirm an ecu code of 1 blink?
It's a 98 ex 5spd ecu, with a 99 ex motor in a 97 hx coupe. We did the diag connector trick to see what code was being thrown, and all it did was one blink? Is that a bad ecu? Plus the ecu did warm up a bit while installed. So if anyone can confirm...
Fast or slow blink?
Long/slow blink= code 10...........IAT - intake air temperature sensor
short/fast blink= code 1...........o2 sensor

short/fast blink= code 1...........o2 sensor
it's def short fast blink...only thing is when we plug in the hx ecu, no code? so if it's the o2 sensor, wouldn't i still throw a code no matter what ecu?
okay so the code should be for the bad 02 primary, but why would it not show on the hx ecu? it's the same sensor?
okay, i just checked majestic's site and the part #'s are different for the hx and ex, i'm using the ones from the hx, could that be it? the hx ecu doesnt see any prob, but then the ex does?

Because you did not throw the code on the HX ecu.. you threw the code on the other ecu. You would have to hook up the HX ecu then make that ecu throw the code in order to check it.

how would i make it throw the code? I now know the primary o2 on the hx is 5 wire and the primary on the ex is 4 wire, so that could be a contributing factor...
ok question...did you use the ex wiring harness for the engine??? cause if you did then you shouldnt be throwing an o2 sensor that has anything to do witht he wiring, at least i wouldnt think.....
if its the o2 sensors and you live somewhere that doesnt have smog testing just unplug those sensors and reset your ecu (unplug battery for 5 minutes to be safe). sure it will throw an ecu code but according to hondata, it doesnt hurt to unplug both of them cause therefore the ecu wont lean out either pair of pistons....
hope that helps but who knows....

i'm using the hx harness, pretty much alll the sensors plugged right in. but with the ex ecu it idled weak at 5oo rpm & the only code i got was from the prim o2. then we plugged in the hx ecu and reset the codes, and got no check light, but got a idle a little stronger
Mine just threw the same code, o2 sensor code 1. I checked all the wires and everything, it is all looking good. How can i tell if it reall is a bad sensor?
