After market lug nuts on stock wheels?

After market lug nuts on stock wheels?
I was told that stock wheels uses a rounded end lug where as most after market wheels uses pointier/sharper (excuse me for the imporper choice of words 
) wheel lug nuts. Now, i want to buy some sharper/pointier wheel lugs for my 5 bolt conversion but will it be ok to use them with the stock ITR wheels? Will it be unsafe? Thanks.

I believe the term you're looking for is "tapered" and you'd probably get a firm answer sooner in the ITR forum. I have no personal experience with such wheel + lug combos, sadly.
