Brake Pads
What is a good brake pad to run on the street? Something that is not going to cost and arm and leg but will do the job good? Also where can I get the pads and what is the best price? Thanks
aem pads are also a good choice for street. http://www.lightningmotorsports.com
Bendix TitaniuMetallic brake pads
cost less than $30 a set and can be found at your local auto parts store.
theay out last and out perfourm AEM, AXXIS, Brembo, and EBC Greenstuff pads.
the only pad ive tried that worked out better than Bendix was a set of Endlees pads by Zeal but theay cost an arm and a leg.
hope this helps

Been using them for 2 years now. No problems at all.
But I just went to a local auto parts store and got cheap pads for $17 w/ a 2 year replacemnt plan. Cars for sale, so no more expensive parts.

I like the AEM/Nissin pads. They stop well and don't seem to fade near as bad as the stock ones. I did notice they wear the rotor down quicker than I'd like, but I guess thats to be expected. I think the metal masters do the same thing. Oh and another nice thing about the AEM/Nissin's is you aren't always cleanign break dust from your wheels
greenstuff really dustless? and where can i find some at a good price
btw which do u guys think are better and have least dust AEM or GreenStuff?

any auto part store like Autozone or Pepboys will have the Bindix pads.
the brake rotors your asking about are made by Aimco. the reason ppl say theay are Brembo blanks is because Brembo makes some of the rotors for Aimco.
for the price of the pads and the rotors, theay cant be beat
i hope this helps!

are you running cross drilled rotors? or stock blanks? If you have cross drilled rotors dont Put expensive pads on the they will warp very easily. Go with the cheapest pad.. for that set up. If your running blanks, then you have a little more to work with. what about calipers? I think they are actually more important that pads if your looking for maximum slow down.
Well that makes more sence. B/c when I went to autozone and asked for the brembo blanks they looked at me like i was drunk. THey did have the amico's though.
I am currently running 94 ls calipers, and rotors. I have a set of cross drilled rotors that I was going to put on. What pads would nto cause these to warp fast but still give me some good stoping power?

I wouldnt recommend using the cross drilled rotors if I was you. Every cross drilled rotor Ive ever seen (with the exception of the Porsche rotors that are cast with the holes in them) get tiny stress cracks all around the holes....
