Default The New H3 Beast..................

Yes, you get to hear it first. The Accord will not just be "in-the-way" on track, it will be "in-the-way-in-front-of-you" on track. Corey and I had low expectations for the Accord, thinking it would be a fun car, but not very competitive. Well after this weekend we were pleasantly suprised to find that the car is perfect. Turned in on a dime and had that perfect amount of controllable oversteer dialed in. There were sections of the track where the ITR's couldn't gain an inch on the car, and some where they lost an inch. Whats even more exciting to me is that with rough times I was only a second and a half to two seconds slower than Corey in the same car. To me that is a big accomplishment.

Needless to say we believe with a little work she might just be some competition for those boys in the front of H3.

See you at VIR boys

Yes, the car is quite surprisingly quick.. It looks like H2 times should be around the 1:08s at Beaver, the Accord was doing 1:13s.. Yea, 5 seconds is a lot, but pretty damn good for a car w/ 3 year old Kumho's and mild suspension. The motor is stock w/ an intake. So I am guessing a total of around 115whp out of the car. Still has a lot of work, but its going to be a great car

I loved seeing that car "*** out" all over the track , I almost looked forward to giving the pass signal just to watch a little from behind

Sweet. If you're that close to Corey, that's not half bad at all, given he has quite a bit more track time than you. The Accord is no slouch - though it's weight might kill it in longer sprints (overheated tires and brakes if not careful). Good luck with it.

Being close to Corey is a good thing. He's proven he is fast. AFAIK, Morgan doesn't have nearly the amount of track time as Corey, so being anywhere near the same speed is good.

Thanks for the compliment.. Morgan really impessed me this weekend, showed me that he wasn't going to be a roadblock, and showed the car wasn't going to be one as well.. I'm proud of my boy..

Good stuff! We desperately need more H3 cars! If you can drive half as well as you can drink we are all screwed.

A four-door Accord is just one notch below a Draftin' Wagon on the HC "cool" scale.

say, is the Draftin Wagon going to be back competing for the H1 crown this year? I haven't heard much buzz about it lately....

inquiring H1 participants want to know!
