Default what are my options for 15x7.5, 4x100 wheels? relatively lightweight ones...

i know the ssr comps come in 15x7.5, but they aren't listed on the tirerack site as fitting my car ('96 integra rs). i also thought the kosei k1s came in that size at one time, but again, can't find it.

any ideas? will the 7.5 be too much rim for a 205/50 azenis? i'm purchasing with the thought that eventually i'll move up to R tires and would benefit from the wider rim... but maybe not?

I have 205 azenis on 7.5" rims right now, and soon they will be on 8" wide rims. You'll be fine.

Did you look at Advan to see if they make a 7.5" wide 4x100 wheel? Either them or Volk.

If not, then you'll need to go the custom route.

do you have them on volks? what are you getting for the 15x8s?

who does custom wheels, and what would i be looking at in terms of price starting points?

thanks,

If volk or advan makes a 15x7.5, that would be your best bet (and probably cheapest).

15x8 = volk. 15x7.5 = SSR. This is on an ITR though.

Actually: Volk 15x7 1/2JJ, +43, 4x100

205s on a 7.5inch rim? Hmm, why not settle for a 7'' rim that fits 205s fine. Even 6.5'' rims do fine with 205s

sorry just wanted to rant, if you find them, put up a link

If you want to rant, make sure the rant is a valid one. In this case, it is not.

The azenis are far from optimal on a 6.5" wheel. I don't feel like explaining this again.

thanks for making it sound as if i said 205s are optimal for 6.5'' wide rims. Did i say optimal? Actually i said they are fine. As in its not the end of the world if you run a 205 series tire on a 6.5'' rim like people on these boards make it out to be.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

You can run the tires on a 5.5" rim if you can get them mounted, but that doesn't mean it is a good thing.

Fact is, they will just grip better on a wider rim. And the point of this post was looking for optimal grip, and a 7.5" rim will be better than a 7" rim for the 205 Azenis. For the average guy, a 6.5" or 7.5" rim probably won't matter. But in the context for competitive autox, it will.
