Team Floyd Racing announces new addition to driver line-up
Carrie and I are happy to announce our new addition to the team, James Worth Floyd, who was born 4/7/03 at 3:12 PM. He weighs in at 9 lbs 1 oz and measured 21 inched head to toe.

Seriously, I know it won't take him long. I plan on giving him what I didn't have, the opportunity if he wants to get involved in motorsports at a very early age, instead of waiting until age 30 like I did.

Is it just me, or are babies getting larger? Seems not too long ago, 9lb babies were considered pretty big, and now they seem normal. Or maybe I'm just confused.

Congrats,
9lbs - time to put him on a diet if he is going to F1, but then again he probably could always race a Vette . Hope mom doing well. Cheers

eee, yeh, if he insists on being a "beefcake" and playing football I guess it'll have to be NASCAR or a Vette. But, time will tell. Look at me - If I lost a few pounds (
)I could probably get back down to my HS and college weight of 165, and I was 11 lbs 9 oz when I was born! I just quite growing altogether at about age 13....

I dunno - both my daughters came in right under 7lbs - and one was 2 weeks early, and the other one on time. Then again, the genes they got are definitely towards the smaller size, so, who knows?
Good news is that they will be small, and light - and they both already like speed ("can you go fast daddy?" or "both hands on the wheel, dad!" )
