When I did my trans recently, I noticed the crossmember trans mount was shot. Taking out out/in made it worse....is this what causes the bucking when I let off then gas it in any gear? It's annoying having to lightly engage the throttle. Does ES make that mount for the a6? If so where can I order it from? Bucking is annoying as f&*k. TIA.

 

i think they only make the mount inserts for the CRX...and sorry to post jack but i actually have a complete unused set of motor mount inserts for 88-91 Civic/CRX for $15 + shipping

 

usually the rear mount is the cause of all the motor movement, but it could be different in your case if the front mount is totally gone.

ES makes inserts for the civic/crx front and rear mounts. pick up a set, but you probably want a new front mount since the ES mounts are only inserts in the stock mounts.

 

Well the front mount is a stock mount. I dont want to do all 4 inserts, just the ones that will help with the bucking. So front and rear trans mounts? Do they install kinda like the lca bushings? (press out, pop in)

 

Hep, I just put my cable trany in, so I felt like it was a god time to get the ES kit in, I started to put the rear in place, and due to stupidity and phoking around, I used to cut the front mount when I put the hydro trany in two year ago, fitting cause, now i'm back stock cable tranny and I test drive it with only the rear mount on, with the ES insert in the rear mount of course, VERY stable, it restraint a lot my engine movement, and I can drive it with no front mount without any problems, but be shure I will put it back in as soon as my MiG welder came back from my friend garage.

the es poly "mounts" are inserts. they insert into the stock mount so you don't need to remove anything. they are NOT a completely new mount like the LCA bushing case.
