Ennis: Got me some 12s
Went to nopi this weekend and finally got to run my ls turbo crx. I started out the day running high 14s, which sucked. Traction was not THERE at all, I then ran a 13.5 and then a 13.1. I knew my car had more then next day in qualifing I ran a 13.0 missing second gear followed by a 12.7 @ 112. I finally broke 12s. I borrowed some slicks from a friend on my last run before I got eliminated. I hit a 12.1 @ 113, not bad for my first time ever to run on slicks. I wish I had a few more passes on them to see if I could break 11s.
break down:
60ft 1.8
1/8- 7.8 @ 90.82
1/4- 12.1 @ 113.39
My hp is in the sig, my mods r old *** beat up ls motor, mut kit I threw together my self mainly consisting of rev hard componets, 3 inch exhaust I made, stock ecu fuel pump and injectors. Running that time really has motivated me to get a hondata, injectors, and fix some other weak links my setup has. Does anyone else have a ls turbo crx and what are your times, thanks.

Nice times... Make me wonder what my car would have done at the track with traction. I mustered a 13.8 on 185/65/14 Civic LX steelies, with the engine all but dying at the 1000 ft mark because of a craped out turbo.
You'll see 11's next time you bolt on the slicks and drop the hammer with the experience already under your belt.

Yeah, it felt awesome launching with those slicks. I cant wait to tweak a few things and buy my own set of slicks. I know I can get my 60ft down more cause I hit a 2.0 on bfgs and like a high 1.8 on the slicks. I felt the biggest difference just from them eliminating most of the wheel spin in second.

Nice job on the 12's. I'm not sure I agree about the traction comment however. I walked the starting line several times and it would easily pull my tennis shoes off my feet.

yeah, its a stock 92 ls swap with about 120k on the odometer. Traction was good on the slicks but when I was on the bfgs I felt as if I were launching on ice. I raced the zex car in the semi finals I guess, and I ran a 12.1 he ran a 11.1. I had him treed up and everything my car just didnt have enough nuts on the top end. I guess thats what happens when you race peeps with sponsors. Oh well theres always next time. Thanks for all the props.

Paul, way to go. I am proud. Way to Represent for the LS turbos.
way to represent for the hondas
That ET is really impressive for that mph, especially for ur first time on slicks. Ur car runs hard, When i get my car back together we need to rematch, and when do u want to go hondata? I want to see what my hp could do in that lil thing.

With my power Id hate to see what ur car can do. Let me know if u need the map, get the tranny first. Thats the biggest mistake i made was going for bigger power before I fixed my tranny. You remember what happened
almost got things car ready to come out and race again, I am sad though cause I missed the best season for racing weather wise already. Its all downhill from here it only gets hotter.

That was a bad *** run! BTW, I'm not sure if you left early or not, but they called your name to get a trophy. They wanted you on stage with the other winners from the turbo 4 class. Maybe you could call NOPI and see if they could mail it to you.
I can't wait for the next NOPI race in H-town. I might be ready by then.
