Since not a lot of people are boosting the HX, there isn't much to search for.

What exhaust manifold will bolt up to the d16y5? HF or CX work?

 

i've never seen a d16y5. are you sure you mean y5??? all the hx's were d15. the dx from 96-2000 was a d15y7. but any way all the d sieries intake and exhaust bolt patterns were the same. so they are inter changeable. but the size of the ports vary.

Is the dx/lx the y5, hx y7, and si y8?

I'm beginning to feel a little stupid here...

 

I'm pretty sure the 97HX is a d16y5 1.6l vtec-e...
